Dutch Competition AuthorityThe ACM’s initiative consists of a presentation of its forthcoming whitepaper which offers a new and different perspective for regulatory authorities to look at the way compliance can be promoted, by using behavioural insights. The ACM has done this in cooperation with the Vrije Universiteit (VU) in Amsterdam. The research included companies form regulated sectors, such as telecommunications, postal services, transport, healthcare and energy. The ACM sets additional rules for these sectors because competition in these sectors does not naturally exist.
